Project Highlights
PH Rumors & Urban Legends - Conspiracy Theory Response
After learning about how and why misinformation and conspiracy theories spread, each of us were tasked with creating something to tackle a theory of our choosing. I chose the conspiracy theory that COVID-19 was made in a lab (and leaked on purpose). To tackle this theory, I created a blog style website where I looked at the history of COVID-19, examined the theory from both sides, and interviewed fellow students.
Biology 110 - Concept Maps
Fall 2023
These maps were created to help better understand the biological concepts discussed in class and readings.
Health Policy - Policy Writing
Spring 2025
Throughout the course of the semester, we wrote various policy documents (issue briefs, strategy memos, op-eds, etc) surrounding a topic of our choosing. My topic was low measles vaccination rates in rural areas of Texas.
PH Rumors & Urban Legends - Social Listening Project
Fall 2024
This was a collaborative "social listening" project, where my team and I chose a health topic and reviewed how it was discussed in various social media spaces. We chose birth control and we looked at interactions on Reddit, X (Twitter), and TikTok.
Biology 110 - Final Project
Fall 2023
My final project was about the impacts of antidepressants on crayfish. I created a slideshow and presented it on film.
Global Journeys - Presentations
Over the course of the semester, we were tasked with completing two presentations. One was before we went on the journey, and was about culture or history; the other was after the journey and was meant to be more reflective.
